People like you are nothing but tiny pebbles in the massive, well-oiled and fully functional machine that is society. You are probably a cyclist on the motorway. You are probably tying yourself to an old tree because big bad government needs to take it down. You probably bought a scarf because it looks pretty nice even though the weather doesn't justify one and it makes you look sophisticated yet easy-going. You are probably a liberal, left-leaning non-conformist.

Thing is, non-conformity is merely a different version of conformity. You want to know why? It's because society is much more powerful than you'd like to believe. To you, everyone is sheep. But you only see sheep around you because you are at the bottom of the machine, where the working class is. You are the smartest moron. The best of the worst. You too are merely a sheep, it's just that you're slightly more aware than the average Joe sheep.

You can be as individualistic as you please, but the fact of the matter is - society doesn't need you. YOU need SOCIETY. And that's a pretty scary thing to comprehend. Being a lone wolf in the modern era is a fast-track towards being pushed to the sidelines of society and dying an early, pathetic death not worthy even for the lowest of the low.
