What mankind vs. aliens book have you liked recently? I'm going to sound like a little child baby right now and tell you that I've only read Ender's Game. War of the Worlds seems like it might be too old of an idea for me to really enjoy.
I want some strange dynamic to it. It's not much of one, but in Ender's Game I liked that he had to use crappier ships at the end because, well, you all know, I'm sure. The spoiler in that is probably the level of FF7 but I'll leave it at that.
