Both are incompatible. Knowledge is infinite and the truth inconceivable insofar that not everything can be known. Science deals with fact and philosophy deals with truth. It has been debated for centuries whether if truth is through our senses or through our minds (empiricism, rationalism) even in a post-Kant world the debate won't end anytime soon. And science can be reduced to pure empiricism. There is no fruit that either philosophy and science bears that can be shared by either of the two.
