/lit/ - Literature

Does /lit/ have an essentials list for the fantasy genre, I've only read the Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings and Inheritance series' and I'm looking to broaden.
I looked on the wiki and one for the suggestions was A Song of Fire and Ice and I know how much /lit/ dislikes that series, so I was wondering if there was an essentials image or anything like it.

Just wondering what /lit/ thinks of this saga.

I personally have read them all a few times and though they are not the greatest peace of literature ever, I still found them very enjoyable.

Uh, hi /lit/, just looked at the front page and this place seems more like a philosophy board. Do any of you actually list recent books you've read and give a summary or say why you liked/disliked that book?

Inheritance cycle by Christopher Paolini

Hi there /lit/! Just finished "Inheritence" in the "Inheitence Cycle" triology by Christopher paolini. After reading the last book, I feel as if I lost something important, and I need more books to read. Any recommendations? Things/themes/genres I like is:

-Fantasy<3
-Adventure
-Action
-A little bit of romance.

I really do recommend the Inheritence Cycle Triology :)
