abebooks

They're linked with amazon iirc
Just make sure to check the box "seller-supplied image" in the search field so you know what you're getting especially if you plan on purchasing older/ used or rare books with a higher price tag.

It also helps to look at the supplier review.
I never buy from any supplier under 4/5 stars

Never had any problems with this method, only once when I bought some used shit that was rare but cheap (without an image) and the supplier had "insect damage" in the description - lol my fault, that basically means mold spots.

Fuck amazon, purchased a complete oxford shakespeare hardcover and they must've tossed it down a chute like a shit brick cause it was partially stained on the top edge and damaged. No wrappings either, just sent in an oversized box.
Not sure how good burger amazon is but I speak for leafzon

The best spot to shop for dank classical lit books are underground flea markets, the sellers can be a real nag cause they want you to buy so if you scan their books long enough they'll try to bargain at good deals. The community is full of interesting characters that are willing to help out local hobbyists and collectors, this is coming from someone that doesn't socialize much.
Check your local indoor flea markets, some are seasonal, others are year round.
