will it get me more interest for my novel. They are really pushing disabled/weird authors these days.

I've given up on ever being an author and am embarking on a career in banking because of shit like this, and I say this as somebody with several unpublished novels totaling almost 500,000 words, so it's not like I didn't try. It's not these jokes, I'm not that sensitive, but the general attitude and the growing #ourvoices crap which while well meaning, makes my race and economic status a mark against me. I don't even want to have to bring fucking identity into this. I know writers bring that to their work, naturally, and always have, but weaponizing and ultimately using it as a gimmick to sell books (I think in many ways this is what publishers are cynically doing) is depraved.
