>Nietzsche was the most remarkable thinker since Plato
I agree.
The problem is most readers appear to read him through the lens of contemporary judeo-christian (even the majority of modern atheists are still working in this framework) framework despite the fact that he explicitly stated that he wishes to destroy this way of thinking and create something new. Since power, for example, is central to Nietzschean philosophy and it has negative connotations in the contemporary framework people will often mistakenly bring along this baggage when reading him. To make matters worse some will even agree with this misinterpretation and cast themselves in the role of villain.
Nietzsche's philosophy is not the antithesis of Christianity; it is something else entirely. He synthesized the ancient pre-christian with the christian and this remarkable achievement appears completely lost on people. He is the most read but least understood.

He didn't refute Nietzsche. Nietzsche was the first true Stirnerite.

This shit is disappointing. I routinely see posts in all these spam threads unknowingly positing Nietzsche's own arguments against him, not realizing that they're fighting a straw man that they picked up from who the fuck knows where. His philosophy is much more positive than any of them seem to believe and actually sitting down to read and understand him would probably relax and motivate a bunch of anons to live better.

>"Women's period of storm and stress. In three or four civilized European countries, one can in a few centuries educate women to be anything one wants, even men--not in the sexual sense, of course, but certainly in every other sense. At some point, under such an influence, they will have taken on all male virtues and strengths, and of course they will also have to take male weaknesses and vices into the bargain. This much, as I said, one can bring about by force. But how will we endure the intermediate stage it brings with it, which itself can last a few centuries, during which female follies and injustices, their ancient birthright, still claim predominance over everything they will have learned or achieved? This will be the time when anger will constitute the real male emotion, anger over the fact that all the arts and sciences will be overrun and clogged up by shocking dilettantism; bewildering chatter will talk philosophy to death; politics will be more fantastic and partisan than ever; society will be in complete dissolution because women, the preservers of the old custom, will have become ludicrous in their own eyes, and will be intent on standing outside custom in every way. For if women had their greatest power in custom, where will they not have to reach to achieve a similar abundance of power again, after they have given up custom?"

Imagine being this prophetic

What are some books that can help get back a fighting spirit, a drive to succeed, make you "hungry" again and help you reach that kind of momentary optimism and sheer will that makes everything easy that seems to appear every once in a few months? How do you hold onto to a fire like this? It seems like it hits me every now and again, just a huge burst of energy grabs me and I get around to my goals that I never really manage to do and make some progress. But, this all fades pretty quick, so what's a work that'll help me understand how to bottle this and hold onto it? Can be epic poem, philosophy or even just a novel. I'm just looking for some guidance to finally wrangling that burst of motivation I get from time to time. Pic unrelated, I just get a chuckle out of it and have never read Nietzsche.

Want to become a scientist? Brb you need a IQ or 130.
Want to get a girlfriend? Brb you have to be Chad.

I can go on, but really determinists have really ruined my life. Every time I try to make a step in the positive direction these thoughts keep on clouding me. What is the book that will allow me to jump over these fags? Pic very much related.

Even as a fan of Stirner I know hes an obscure (even in his own time he was) figure, it would quite frankly be bizarre for a physiologist to have even heard of his name let alone studied him. Indeed the only possible way for Peterson to have ever come into contact with him would be if gained an obsession with Nietzsche and his influences.

>with his philosophy?
And what exactly is that?
