E. V. Rieu’s revised translation is the best available prose version for both The Iliad and The Odyssey, although Robert Graves has a pretty compelling novellike prose rendition of The Iliad which I think is worth reading as well.

Personally I'm partial to Caroline Alexander's translation of The Iliad and Richmond Lattimore for The Odyssey, but honestly both Richmond Lattimore and Robert Fagles have very readable translations for The Iliad and The Odyssey.
