I recommend you at least give everything a shot in the order prescribed, but a layman can and probably should skip whatever does not interest him.

Had a theory, want to make it public. Most of you should leave 4chan, specifically /lit/ for 1-3 years and come back when you’re well read to have coherent discussions on books and stop asking people what they think, WHAT DO YOU THINK ANON?, and "how do i’s", collect your last recommendations and pack your bags, save the essential lists and come back when you’re finished, and properly discuss, "oh but what do I do instead", hmm good question OP, apart from reading which you’ll be more focused and compelled to do instead of asking questions you can google and implying people have read it or yet alone understand books they have read, most books probably require 3 reads maximum, yes including the fucking foreword, instead go outside, workout, develop your social skills, fooking DrInK WaTeR.
