/lit/ - Literature

I'm looking for fantasy, swords/magic, dragons, adventure, chosen one, destiny type books. Like young adult fantasy. Stuff sort of like harry potter where a group of friends go on quests. They can be kids, teens, adults whatever. The kind of fantasy books you probably read when you were 15/16 years old.

I just finished binge reading The Arinthian line series and loved it. It's objectively for 10 year olds but it made me feel young and happy again staying up until 3am just reading. thanks

So I started reading the Name of the Wind and couldn't past the part where he fucks a fairy or wtv. Shit books.

But I now craving for a really good fantasy books.

So /lit/, besides LotR and aSoIaF are there some really good fantasy books?

Okay /lit/ as cliche and retarded as this is going to sound, my girlfriend and I are considering writing a fantasy novel. We aren't amateurs as far as writing and researching goes, as both of us have degrees (her psychology, me history). We want to write something fairly grounded in reality, but with cool fantasy elements that help the story stand out (I mean, that's kind of how most fantasy settings go anyway) and I'm looking for good suggestions of other fantasy novels and such that we can look to for general inspiration for how things should work as far as the story structure goes. No, I'm not asking you guys to write our book for us or give us material to steal from, just looking for inspiration.
