Okay. So I stumbled across this guy online, a Christian, who completely wrecked my internal image of Christianity. He's some Yale theology professor (or student?) who is going around telling other Christians to "say no the Bible" and God. Like, he actually wrote a book titled "Saying No to God"... as a self-described "devout Christian."

If you're head is spinning, welcome to the club. If you don't feel like giving him your money to buy a book to find out about his ideas, I found this YouTube video that appears to give the gist of his message;

What does /lit/ think of Christians resisting their Bibles not because of cultural reaction, but because they believe its something demanded by their faith?

I find it very strange. I've never come across this perspective before. But maybe I'm just ignorant about it?
