He is setting out on an adventure with words. 'Work in Progress' can satisfy more readers than any other book because it gives them the opportunity to use their own ideas in the reading. Read the first chapter of Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man when I woke up this morning. It was all very bittersweet seeing Stephen as a child observing the adult world around him and it affected me in a way I wasn't expecting.
