i want to talk about scifi lit but over half the thread is people arguing about ai desu why?? they're all such kind people why does god make them angry all of the time? its ok. chin up missy you can do this. hmpph-

hey whats everyone's favourite new wave scifi author? i adore PDK. reading humpty dumpty in oakland atm which technically not scifi but it still has everything i love from mr. dick's writing. paranoid, neurotic characters behaving in selfish ways. twisted world views. hes basically proving that the speculative fiction is just a literary device to illustrate currents of thought, collective villians, gnostic illusions and illuminations. he was a very smart man.

side note is there a name for what came after new wave? it feels like we've fallen back into a pulp era where most people read and write scifi in order to escape reality rather than use it to better their understanding of.
