/lit/ - Literature

Tell me /lit/, should I get this series?

I used to read a lot of shitty fantasy as a teenager and all high-brow artsy elitist books later. Now I'm on a quest to find something that combines the best of both worlds.

Any recommendations? (already read soiaf and liked it, so don't recommend that). Sci-fi is acceptable as well (though I'm already well aquinted with many reputable authors writing in that genre)

So, friend gave me this, is it any good? I hope the beginning is just some kinda prelude style. Also the nordic style place names seem bit anoying.

This series if so fucking good. I always saw fantasy as kind of lame and trite, but this has blown my mind. Each character is far more real than Gandalf could ever be...

Anyone else a fan?

Also, any rumours kicking about the Unholy Consult

I've read this series up to the White-Luck Warrior and am enjoying it so far.
