First of all, living itself and trying to appreciate every second I get to be alive, since I'll spend most of the time dead from here on out to the end of the universe anyway. Might as well see where this takes me.

Second, there's always opportunity for things to get better and the future be brighter as long as I'm alive and I keep chugging along. Life is unpredictable and thinking tomorrow will be as bad or worse as today is just lying to yourself, it's an illusion.

there's a funny shoop of pic related that draws on internet pedantry that has the heading "Accepting You're Death." I'll let you imagine how that changed the picture. I wish I had saved it when I saw it on here, but given how often shit gets reposted (and how much of my life I waste on here) I'm sure I'll see it again.

I believe that through the entirety of hyper-consciousness in humans that many authors and other artists have attempted to capture the essence of what love is. We only really have a very superficial view of what the emotion is, when in reality, it is a blend of almost every other one.

Speaking from experience, love has a twisted and oddish way of combining itself into different things and able to pass itself off, still, as 'love'.

I have Borderline Personality Disorder. Many times, I have screamed and yelled, abused and emotionally crippled those that I have 'loved' in an attempt to keep them longer. Through my lens, this is still 'love' - a different form, yet love nonetheless.

Love is the harmonious blend of each emotion that we put any investment in towards a singular person or thing because of their ability to provoke these reactions.

With most of the philosophy threads now on /his/, this board feels strangely empty to me. It's almost as if it is an end of an era for /lit/. What do you guys think is next for this board? Possible new thread ideas? What can we do to make this place less cancerous? Do you still feel like /lit/ can keep up its elitism now?

Two or so years ago I thought I was moving out of town; so I checked out a stack of all my favorite books with the intention of keeping them and forgetting about the local library altogether.
I didn't end up moving anywhere and the guilt of trying to steal from them has kept me from going back.
I just go to used bookstores now.
My wallet hurts.

Are we at the end of history? Is there anything interesting even going on? Everything feels so pointless right now. It seems like everyone's becoming nihilistic lately.

Like I know we just discovered water on mars, but it feels so unimportant compared to landing on the moon.

Anyone feel the way I'm feeling?
