Since the quality posting on /lit/ is slightly gaining, I'm going to keep up with momentum.

I was lately thinking about literature with a lot of schadenfreud. For some reason, I love seeing people who deserve to suffer, suffer.

I also find it cute when literary icons like Pip from Great Expectations suffer comically due to their innocence.

Is there a contemporary equivalent of Schadenfreud literature?

I love to reason stories about duckface girls and pink popped collar polo wearing guys suffering terribly. Perhaps I should write this book. Hah.
