I literally could not care less. That's the thing here anon, there won't be some big anti-war and pro-war movements here like there were in all of the real actual wars. Nobody cares, the quibbles of Slavniggers is so below the normal person's radar that they can't even be assed to form an opinion. All of your seething about how we just have to agree that having less access to information is good because MUH RUSSIA MUH YOU CRANE is just...inconsequential. When gas prices go through the roof, people won't be arguing about how this is Russia's fault or Ukraine's fault. It's not even in the vocabulary.

What has all the music ever composed accomplished? What has all the philosophising ever created? What has any man done in history that which will outlive the death of the universe? What has Shane's written which could move you like a grieving mother? It's all but trifles.

The book takes place in two periods: 2021 and 2110. A hermit conspiracy theorist envisions a global technocracy which uses the Internet as a weapon and a tool for wider oppression of the miserable population who are kept ignorant due to the fact that one can no longer distinguish fact from falsehood (something you see beginning today). Essentially a post truth world in earnest. The ruling technocrats push a narrative that opposition to is the highest crime. Anyway, this hermit was correct and in a kind of generational chess game, he devises tactics to put into motion now what will lead to the party's eventual downfall. One tactic he uses is to buy the newspaper every day, but not to read it, to hide it under his home for someone else to discover and see true history and the chain of events that led to the technocracy. A young woman discovers it and by the end of the novel, the party is toppled. Haven't freshed it out properly yet of course. Kind of inspired by PKD and Cloud Atlas
