Look at every photographic portrait of Albert Camus and imagine the camera before him; the time it takes to set up the camera, the time it takes to set up a shot. In every photo he is affecting a pose, as though enraptured in thought or contented with the way he sees things. It's artifice; pretension. The man is not a genuine intellectual.
