Hello, /lit/. Can anyone explain to me why misogyny is bad? Being that the most of the left fundamentally believe that morality is morally relative, and people like Foucault believe most morality derives not from objectivity but from existing power structures, why is misogyny bad according to the left? Also, if people like PUAs are misogynists, why so? Don't pick up artists defer to female power by fundamentally accepting their dominant role in mate selection, and thus, appealing to their innate desires? Why isn't the power structure built on female mate selection criticized itself, rather than the people deferring to it? Are there any books which address the issue of why misogynist men do well in a de-regulated sexual environment that doesn't use the cop out of "internalized misogyny?"

I've noticed an interesting trend with the boards on this site. They tend to always latch onto some meme heterodox idea in whatever interest field they represent.

For example:

/biz/ - Cryptocurrency instead of normal investing
/a/ - Moeshit instead of classic or popular anime
/o/ - Miatas, though this is excusable since they're broke
/mu/ - ITAOTS, Loveless, etc.
/classical/ on /mu/ - Schnittke, pre-Baroque composers, Part, etc.
/pol/ - Nazism instead of normal politics
/lit/ - I think /lit/ is the wort offender since they simultaneously do it on several fronts.

Literature - Houellebecq, DFW
Philosophy - fucking Guenon, who nobody cares about IRL, and Whitehead, Deleuze, etc. Deleuze approaches normal but he's still a bit out there, and he's way overdiscussed here.
Economics - Austrians, Marxists, literally anyone who is abnormal has a home here

I wonder why that's the case. I used to think that the most resilient ideas come out on 4chan because it's essentially an open battleground - but it seems it's always the most meme ones.

Where did all the paranoia and fragility surrounding postmodernists and post-structuralists come from?
How does one read them and conclude they're out to "subvert the white race"?

No, it's absolutely perfect that the final product of Foucault, Derrida, Lacan, and all the other French postmodernists has been a generation of techbros who are responsible for turning our world into the hellscape it's become. This IS the legacy of French thought, and it's entirely appropriate.

>tfw /lit/ keeps telling me to start with the greeks to "understand" philosophy and all I did was read sparknotes of all the main philosophers within a week and now understand all of the concepts you guys sperg on about it here

seriously, is there a reason someone should spend countless actually reading philosophy, with all it's faggy language, when they could just get the tl;dr version online that often summarizes it better than the autistic philosophers?

No, I am drunk so I probably won't explain it properly but Foucault pretty definitively showed that science itself is ideologically driven, and can potentially destroy empirical progress in shifts of concern, hiding truth under the new layers and lenses of modernity.
The man was based as fuck.

Why shouldn't I, as a traditionalist, want this man blotted out?

Why shouldn't I treat him as the ultimate enemy and wish him totally undone? His name should be torn from books. All his writings should be burned. He should be declared an unperson, and all his teachings forbidden. He should be torn out of the world, and labeled as less than a man. It would be only just.

I need a quick rundown on Foucault's concept of biopower and biopolitics.
Should I read "Security, Territory, Population", "The Birth Of Biopolitics" or "Society Must Be Defended"?
