Fine, I'll let you have your hill about parents discouraging it. Regardless, if you're an adult female and universities are offering gender-oriented scholarships to go into tech, and tech jobs want to hire you to meet demographic quotas, (with all the necessary qualifications for both school and work to be generous), and all the tech oriented areas lean far-left with all the gender inclusivity involved, then at some point you have to accept that you are holding yourself back from a tech job and not society. In fact, you would be more responsible for the issue than sexist parents ever would be.
