Basically the same thing a third of the world agrees with, that a small few hold all the cards to every ones future, and economic prosperity. But, there is the other majority of folks who work hard, and even when they've been knocked down a few times they get back up and try again, or try something different, maybe something new. I am one of the majority who works hard and doesn't want a hand out. I want some filthy rich man or women to write me a check, because I worked for him or her.

I like to think that Tao Lin does this kind of shit intentionally just to test the patience of his audience and show them up as pretentious pricks. In all honesty the poem is pretty funny and a good experiment but anyone that looks any deeper than that is probably trying too hard. Also

No matter what the numbers in the end will be. Fact is that people ARE prosecuted for these things.
Whether there are any black books on people who got away with their incompetence or not there is also a substantial amount of people loosing their permission to practice for these reasons.

The system in itself is naturally (since we normally don't want to kill or harm our own citizens) interested in bringing down people that do not meet their expectations on this matter.
That again implies the responsibility I was talking about earlier and is more than an impactful argument why the doctor should in the end be gratified in a more extensive form than the garbage man.

I also never claimed that you're immediately prosecuted if things go wrong.

The only point I'm making is that the possibility to get into big trouble for fucking up as a doctor is obviously higher than for fucking up as a garbage man.
