It fails to take into account the necessity of moderation.
Too much pleasure-seeking leads to pain, as pic related pointed out.

I'd say apatheist polytheistic, kind of like the Greek lad who also had a four part cure to suffering.

Does anyone else find it difficult at first to absorb a work of great literature? I often find that I can't understand a work of art until I find a point of entry. This can be historical context, acquaintance with related or similar works, or just a new perspective. For example, I remember listening to Stravinsky's Rite of Spring when I was younger and perceiving it as pure chaos. Coming back to it many years later, it seemed quite clear and structure to me. This was a case of gaining experience with other music that helped me perceive and understand the structure of this particular piece.

this was really a thinly-veiled cry for help. it's not /lit/-related, i'm just not sure what to do. all my weird wacky degenerate NEET shit has only ever affected me and not other people so it bothers me that it might be escalating to something violent. what you said makes perfect sense, it's just that sometimes you need other people to tell it simply and neutrally like that, with no judgements and no emotions. Having no-one to talk about it in real-life makes it more difficult to seek that clarity. thank you for your help. i know what i gotta do.

polite sage.
