Confession Time.
We confess our short-comings or failures when it comes to literature. It can be a book you've never gotten around to reading, a hatred or obsession, failed/abandoned projects, etc.

>The first time I tried to read Pynchon's V, I completely skipped the chapter Fausto's Journals.

I'm not saying that any part of the book is disposable. I'm just saying that for all the philosophical/moral/existential wankery, this section manages to gather just about every major plot and theme and develop them further.

exactly 50% through. great so far

The 15 or so pages where a character gets a nose job while awake is some of the most compelling and exciting literature I've ever read.
