I always found the show’s real artistry to be in it’s visuals

I mean Evangelion philosophy is interesting in that regard, in that people forget Shinji can choose for a world of separation, the goo is a closed totality, it leads ironically to the opposite of what those people allegedly want, which is the emergence of the new. A world of separation is still open to the radicality of the encounter, the encounter with another being that is different from me but not really since we're all One.
