Guilty pleasure book thread?

What's your favorite book?

This one was genuinely interesting to read, a shame the movie butchered it.

John Dies At The End, i honestly thought this would be all over /lit/. So ill say what i want to say about it.

In my opinion, i thought it was one of the most entertaining and fun reads in my life, i finished it quickly within 3 days. How the hell david wong could pack that much fun into a 300 paged book is beyond me. The book is mostly retarded and quirky jokes, but that really helps with building that John and David are just average dudes.

Some of the sequences are very poorly spaced and timed out. Like some chapters suddenly skip months after an event, and in those months nothing in between happens.

The idea is very intriguing and fun, reading this book will keep your imagination soaring for days.

So, /lit/, what is your opinion on John Dies At The End?

This book is literally driving me slightly insane. Or maybe that's just because I had a bad experience recently and to try and get over it i started reading this book. Is that what the book wants me to think?

Anyone else read John Dies at The End? And This Book is Full of Spiders?
