So I just finished reading Ruin by John Gwynne and it is absolutely amazing. Thanks to the anon that recommended the series, it certainly gets better with each installment and the third book ends with a major cliffhanger. Ill start reading the final book in the series tonight. Overall, I highly recommend it if you're a fan of old school fantasy without SJW politics and many grey characters with multiple viewpoints. There isnt really a single pure evil character from the humans and even the "good" guys are flawed. If I had to compare the writer's prose and action sequences I would say the closest would be David Gemmell.
