The Fall is a remake of a Bulgarian film from 1981. That's it. In the original the kid is a boy and he has imaginary pirate adventures instead of fantasy stuff like in The Fall. It's called Yo-ho-ho and it's a pretty comfy and emotional movie, but I'm not sure anyone, especially a foreigner, would enjoy it that much nowadays.
