Unironically try Saving Supervillains by Bruce Sentar. It's a harem, but the story's suprisingly good.

Depends on what you're asking for. Bruce Sentar is...decent. It's less sophisticated and shallower than Arrand's stuff, but overall the story's more coherent and the worst you can say about it is that harems grow too big and previously established partners fall to the way-side. Actually, Sentar's stories might even be better than Arrand's, his Saving Superhores series is definitely better than most of Harem stuff you will find, even most of Arrand's. I recommend reading at least first Saving Superheroes book to get a taste.

Aside of that, Good Intentions is a good book, from around 2010 so it predates self-pub. Way more polished than anything you'd find among self-pub, just a normal modern Supernatural Fantasy but with smut. Probably the best Erotica Harem book I read. However, it is unrecommended to read past the second book, as the series loses steam and gets a bit...weird.

Other than that, consider:
- Prism Academy: Inferna
- Fostering Faust (William D. Arrand's one series that can be called decent from start to the end)
- Blue Core (if you don't mind the story being autistic LitRPG about magic first and foremost, with smuty harem elements)
- Domestic Decay (I liked it a lot, it's a good story even when you take smuty elements out)

>I read it recently too. Enjoyed it well enough, nothing amazing but enough that I'll read the sequel. I feel like the author went a little too fast on adding new girls. Felt like Inferna and the water girl were enough even without the set up with the others.
I agree, it might be that the author falls into the common pitfall of adding girls too fast after the first. Surprsingly few authors can pace it out in the right way, it's almost shocking how clueless they are.

As for the cover, not sure what suprises you about the lack of anime covers for harem/erotica. Self-published harem erotica is not the same crowd as anime crowd, and I personally would be put off by seeing anime cover. I hate anime art, it's cheap and soulless. If they don't use it spite of overwhelming amount of artists versed in anime art then it proves they have at least some awarness.

A proper cover art for harem lit needs to be both sexy and serious enough to signal it's a story and not just porn. Look at Saving Supervillains, it has decent though a bit too porny cover, yet the quality is good. Scholomance and its author have the best cover arts in the bussiness, though

Started reading Bruce Sentar books hearing good stuff. I was shocked how solid 'Saving Supervillain' was despite being a Harem story. Genuineyl were more interested in the story than the sex, for the first time when reading erotica. It wasn't perfect, it kinda stumbled at the end and had some flimsy plot points, but for a self-publish and a harem at that...genuinely impressed with it. Definitely going to read Mana Master now. I wonder whether on average he's better than Randy Darren, so far it would seem so, but must check Sentar's other series to be sure. Good stuff imo
