I'm sorry, I'm just venting thoughts. I'm curious about their plausibility.

I recently got a paper back and thought the criticism was a little over the top. I am very sensitive so it hurt me somewhat. The teacher was very critical that I used the word "seems." I intentionally used that word to try to convey that it was just how I was perceiving the poem and may not have been the author's intention. There was one place where she just wrote at the top "Do What?" And just started to list a bunch of words: Blabbering, Incoherent, and she ended with Plagiarism. She did not point out what she thought was plagiarized. I was also criticized for not using enough citations, but I often quoted other's thoughts on the topic, knowing this is what she wanted. It is like teachers are amazed that anyone can have a independent thought on anything.
