Same difference. Traditionalism / Perennialism is founded on an elitist impulse to want to feel better than ‘the unwashed masses’ and act like they have a super secret truth that only they can comprehend. It’s founded the idea that you can mix and match religious ideas and that there is somehow a skeletal core that you can somehow figure out and practice. Most perennialist LARPers don’t practice though. What they ultimately fear is the idea that God has given a definitive revelation that is *the* way to Truth, the fullest Truth. Perennialists want you to believe in a God that leaves 99% of humanity to rot and never delivers definitive revelation.

Luckily God has revealed Himself, and is acessible to all of humanity.

Jesus Christ is the Way, the Life and the Truth. All of these other religions may have aspects of the Truth, but they are mixed with worship of demons, evil and other unseemly things to greater or lesser degrees. The Bible is like no other work, seeing it has confirmed prophecies such as those of Daniel 9, etc.

This is what I used to think when I was an atheist and hated Christ, but as God slowly opened my heart to open-minded research, I realized that Christianity is in fact completely different than any other religion. Even in the time of the Israelites, the laws and morality and conceptions of God revealed to Moses were radically different than the surrounding Middle Eastern religions. The fact that so many prophecies have come true, and that almost every Christian I’ve met has had amazing spiritual experiences unlike anything I’ve heard from practitioners of false religions is just more proof to me that Christ is truly the way, the truth and the life. I pray that you will one day discover this.
