Alright, my thread was deleted just when I was about to converse with a fellow anon, so I'll just post here what I planned to post then, and hope he sees it. I hope this is not a bannable offense, because clearly, stating the things that are wrong in this board in a didatic way is something that seems to rustle a lot of jimmies.

Well, there's an author that I don't think I've ever seen mentioned here in this board (although I could be wrong), Adolfo Bioy Casares, he wrote "The Invention of Morel", and it was a fantastic read, you should check out it's synopsis, it seems like a regular science-fiction novel but I can garantee that it's much more than that, and it kept me thinking about weeks, hell, months after reading it, something most books aren't really capable of doing to me anymore, unsure why. Currently reading The year of the death of Ricardo Reis, by Saramago, who's another favourite of mine, read 4 other novels of his (Blindness, Cain, The Double and The Gospel According to Jesus Christ), but to be honest, I'm not enjoying it that much, I'm about one fourth in and I'm just not feeling the book, the story, and don't get me wrong, I think the concept about one of Pessoas's personas becoming an actual person and meeting with his creator a very unique approach to literature, but still, so far, nowhere near as good as the gospel or blindness. Have you read any of them? I've read more, but those are the ones that popped up in my head just now.
