I'm not OP, but what prevents me from reading much is my OCD which cuases me to reread every single line 500 times, thus making the act of reading painful. I also have anxiety about not truly understanding what is being said, and so I say "better not to have read at all instead of pretending like I understand", so I never pick up a book. I can't even read short stories because my interest usually drops after five pages and I have to continually refresh 4chan and reddit every two pages into a book. Send help
