After I self published my first book and it did shockingly well and it turned out I could improve my life significantly if I keep self publishing, I've been having issues writing more books.
I know I just have to do it, but I doubt myself since self publishing the first one was more of a joke than a serious financial move.
It did really well and now I'm stumped. I used to find writing fun but now I feel like I have to take it very seriously, which makes me less excited write, so I write less and I think I write worse and so on.
Is there any good remedies for this, I've been this way for a year. I feel like the first book was just a happy accident.

I started reading the Bible from front to cover. I'm near the end of Leviticus. Would it be irresponsible to after finishing this book, move to the New Testament before resuming the Old or would I miss a lot of context and meaning?

I cannot read bad prose. Sometimes I wish I could, since there's occasionally good stories in the trash people write, but It's like I'm being offered to eat a delicious sandwich, and to eat the sandwich, I'm required to stand inside a room filled with putrid air piped in 24/7. Some rooms smell worse than others, some better, but at some point you begin to question if the sandwich is really worth it. You'll also come to realize that the "Free" rooms are usually the smelliest. It's hard to enjoy the core of the book when everything surrounding it repulses me.

Here are a couple of confessions for ya:

>If the book isn't good in the first paragraph, I drop it

>I haven't read a book in over a year

>I think most philosophers should be archived and never bothered with being discussed about again
