It's called being a lazy twat/idle human and has nothing to do with capitalism. Most people don't want to do anything ever at all, why is this such a surprise to you? Have you been outside in the past however the fuck old you are? People bitch and moan about anything and everything. You think they want to better themselves through wisdom, fitness, virtue? This goes beyond any meme social structure. The average person wishes for nothing but the heights of hedonism and impiety

Anyone feel like I do? I love reading. I read maybe 1-2 hours a day when I can. However, there's a grinding and churning that happens in me that compels me to stop reading which consists of my financial worrying. I can't help shake off the feeling that I need to be well off or successful to read comfortably. I was raised poor and still am poor. I work close to 40 hours a week making minimum wage but I recently started my own "business." I have goals within this business and am hopeful but in the meantime I feel seriously guilty when I read. How do you guys balance work, leisure, reading, etc?

I'm having trouble understanding this line that is paraphrasing Democritus' view on ethics. Can you help me?
