>Try to flirt with beliefs a little more. Even the stupidest here usually try to experiment, or at least have fun besides.
I like Robert Anton Wilson. He takes the piss out of philosophers and theologians. Like a brainier Carlin.
>most of your beliefs seem to be a sort of antithesis
Right. I do stand against a mountain of junk, so have turned to what I am pro-, a set of ideas to replace the junk. I have wasted a good portion of my life trying to stay christian or otherwise faithful, and I was miserable, tearing myself apart trying to believe, to reconcile any of it. It is trash and harmful to the human “spirit”. It IS disease. I am better for dropping it. Now why wouldn’t you want what’s best for everyone? Logic? A reason people hold onto what’s ailing their minds?
I’m in love with the heroes quest.

Besides some of the other fine answers already given, I do discard what I can’t use from any philosopher freely. Epicurus seems too passive, especially for our times, whiles Nietzsche too cold and individualistic, to the point of being what I call a fragmentist. They balance each other in a yin/yang sort of way. I also think of some of the things Robert Anton Wilson has said. I reconcile them all by being greater.
