I actually just finished River Wall recently (as in this year), they weren't mind-blowing reads but very cozy and I liked the moral quandrying and action sequences (and the desert setting)
also forgot on that list - the Death Gate Cycle. Most people don't know that besides the 7 main books there was also a retro point and click game for PC, plus a very short story which you can find here - https://mocagh.org/legend/deathgate-story.pdf
