What is the opinio communis on /lit/ regarding this man? He seems to be the only figure capable of reducing this board into two permanently warring groups incapable of any form of rapprochement or reconciliation. One can disparage him for a lack of philosophical rigor and praise his style or conversely one can denigrate his style as empty bombast and attempt to extract the vital power of his ideas from the mire. Can we attempt to reach a consensus about this man, /lit/? Effortposting is encouraged.

>At any rate, academe is superfluous rot upon an already decaying cultural body, the gnawing of of maggots upon on a corpse which expedites its return to the earth. The question remains to be seen if the culture which these institutions had once sworn to foster will, along with them, close its eyes forever, or if providence has it that it be reincarnated somewhere from a meagre bud on the forest floor.

>Man does not strive for happiness; only the A*glo does this.
Yeah, I'm thinking based.
