Hey /lit/

I've been looking for a book I read a while ago, and figured you guys might be able to help me:

Plot synopsis:
The main character is a scotman who has a title, or something, and has a castle built in his name
While it's being built, he goes to china, and buys a little asian slave girl, who makes him tea
He goes back home, lives in his castle, forgets about the girl
The girl falls in love with a farmhand or a stableboy or something
The scotsman forgets about her
Remembers later
She's dead from starvation or suicide.

Pic unrelated.

Can anyone recommend some classic Germany literature to me? I've read Kafka Metamorphosis and Goethe's Faust. What other works of Goethe are worth reading? Anyone can recommend any Schiller books?

You know that feeling you get when you want to talk to someone but you just can’t maybe it’s just me but talking to people that I WANT to talk to is much harder than talking to someone who you couldn’t care less about.
Usually it’s a pretty girl that’s smiling at me , i want to go over and start talking but my legs won’t move, instead I end up staring at her with an expression of surprise on my face like a moron, She said hi earlier you fucking idiot she obviously doesn’t mind talking to you just speak for Christ’s sake!
Ok this is it I’m gonna’ go for it, I’m walking towards her yes this is it! Wait what I say past the initial “Hi” at the start of this impending conversation, perhaps I could tell her I noticed her smiling at me, Could come off a bit creepy if not said in a confident yet friendly way but then again if it goes right maybe she’ll think I’m some kind of suave confident Casanova type guy who rescues attractive women from there boring lives, an IT technician by day and zorro by night Yes! Best not to come off as too co… shit I’m there.

/lit/, I have a very small vocabulary and small set of phrases that I use in everyday conversation. Would /lit/ recommend me some books (Don't you dare count in a dictionary or thesaurus) to read so that I may improve on that?
Also feel free to recommend any of your favorite books, I'm interested in reading anything.

It had been a slow, relentless day. It was full of boring, uneventful tasks. Days like this came often in this barren, soul-sucked world. No longer were there survivors to charge. Charger missed hearing their screams as he pounded them into the ground, never failing to break at least five bones with each pound. No matter the pleas, he never gave mercy, never relented. Unfortunately, there was a shortage of that as of late. The number of survivors had dwindled down. Constantly had he rushed to the scent of fresh, delicious vomit, only to find--to his utter dismay--that Boomer was having Acid Reflux problems again. It was making him frustrated, the lack of releasing his anger at the world. And he was, indeed, angry. He was hateful of the survivors--how dare they shoot at us?! He thought, with disgust at their puny little forms. They thought they were better than his people, even though they were cowardly and stupid. They shot at a man simply eating a cow corpse, because he so much as looked at them. They thought they ruled this godforsaken world, but they didn't.

Hi guys.

English isn't my first language and I need help with the correct way to say something.

I want to say somebody is my idol.

"And you sir, are my idol."

And you sir, is my idol."

Which is the correct? I think it's the first.
