Hey anons, can you guys recommend me some good novels or series about first contact with aliens?

A few I've read already are
>Solaris
>Blindsight
>Pushing Ice
>Rendezvous with Rama

Just read this. I didn’t think it was amazing. It lacked any meaningful characters and was stuffed full of deusexmachinas to keep the plot moving along. Even for what it was, I have enjoyed other Clarke books a lot more. Are the sequels even worth it?

i was planning to buy dune once the prices fall and before the movie comes out.
i was thinking more of structures rather than characters and their fates, im not completely against it (im planning on getting Rendezvous with Rama too) but that people are kept to a minimum and events and locations are more detailed

Read this about a month ago and loved every second. Clarke seems to actually be a good writer (like on a sentence level) unlike a lot of other super famous scifi writers. Are there any other books that inspire the same sense of wonder, mystery, and intrigue? Any that have such an interesting concept and story?

2001 and Ringworld appear to be the obvious contenders, and I plan on reading both, but are there any that have a similar vibe but not quite the same "alien megastructure" story?

Are there any first contact novels that even come close to this?
