2. He mentioned in the book that he can't understand as to why one would keep in check with his / her health through diet and exercise. But isn't the point of caring about your physical wellness one of the key points in making life a little less miserable? It's proven by countless number of studies that people who eat well and exercise are less prone to mental and physical illnesses.

it was told from the perspective of a young girl. i dont remember the bulk of the plot, but i remember very clearly there being an underpass covered in grafitti of a strange fertility god with a gigantic erect penis up to its chin. ive scoured most of ligotti's collected short stories & yet havent found it.

could i be thinking of a story by one of his contemporaries? his disciples? or did i just miss something obvious in his collections? i remember it being distinctly ligottian, but it's been probably more than ten years since ive read it
