Is this faggot actually worth reading?

I've read around 4 of his seminars and every time I read a book about Lacan (Zizek for example) I could get his ideas 10x faster than directly reading Lacan.

Where do you start with this nigga? Freud? Adler? Is there a chart yet?

What does Lacan mean by drive? I know that it's something like infinitized desire, while desire itself is jouissance routed through the systems of language, but what's a better way to explain that?

'mental health' is a meme, but therapy (and most certainly psychoanalytic therapy) isn't.

it depends on what kind of therapist you get. a shit one will make you feel good about yourself and convince you bad things are not your fault, and a good one will rip you apart and make you feel awful but in a way that makes you a better person. too often someone goes to 'therapy' but instead of therapy they get a charlatan who just reinforces their narcissism. many such cases!
