Where do you guys prefer to read? I often get distracted whilst reading in my home, so I am seeking an alternative location where I won't be bothered as frequently. Does anybody read at a park bench next to a lake or on a blanket in a park? I imagine those are good options when the weather is pleasant

Hey /lit/ bros. I don't normally visit this board but I am seeking to purchase a few pieces of literature to read over the summer and wanted to hear suggestions. What are a couple of your favourite books that you would recommend to somebody that spends most of their time studying in the sciences, but is otherwise not well-read.

I am primarily interested in philosophical literature (e.g. I plan on purchasing Beyond Good and Evil shortly) but I am open to anything. The only non-academic books that I have read in the past couple of years have been 1984 and Mein Kampf.

I am going to begin recreationally reading on a more regular basis having only read academic work as of late. I am considering picking up the following pieces of literature, any insight/approval from those of you who have read them?
>Beyond Good and Evil, Nietzsche
>The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich, Shirer
>The Gulag Archipelago, Solzhenitsyn

Is Euro-Buddhism still the big threat?
