I have serious depression and anger issues, and writing is the only thing that's helped me stay alive. A long time ago I told myself that if I make something of myself, I'd donate every single dollar to helping any else who suffers inside.

That, and I want some of that qt3.14 fangirl poon.

Since none of you read, let's have a writing ideas thread. Your idea doesn't have to be an entire premise for a novel, it could be an interesting character, plot development, or other literary device.

I'll start - been debating writing a character who is an insomniac only because he can't stand waking up, the feeling of missing something in the morning. He consequently moves into the middle of the Pacific Ocean to the International Date line, and still feels like he is missing something because he is now away from society.

Any other plot points that would go along with this theme? or characters that would decieve him into thinking in such a way, like Voltaire's Pangloss?
