I'm 15 and just finished Slaughterhouse 5, I liked it. What next? Is there anything particularly similar to Slaughterhouse 5?

4chan has an obsession with hipsters, especially /tv/, so despite not usually posting here I'm going to assume that the obsession has translated over to this board too, so I'm interested in some hipster book recommendations. Well, beyond Thomas Peynchon and David Foster Wallace.

Image very much related.

I read this and it seems...kinda empty, like if I were expecting something I didn't know what was but it never came.

What are your thoughts into it, /lit/zens?

I'm going to write a book, I've been writing it for ages, but I've never finished it, well I have now.

I was in a war, people died so it goes. I traveled in time. one minute I'm an optometrist who is writing about abuctions, then I'm a soldier in a war where people die, so it goes. I'm fitting glasses one minute, then the next I'm in a POW camp where people are dead, so it goes.

Hello /lit/. I am going to make this post before I go to work in hopes of some helpful replies

I take the AP english test on Thursday, and am going over some works I have read and enjoyed thoroughly.

I am pondering how these works would fit into a prompt for the open ended essay, and need a quick review on themes, and other information, I should cover

Some of my choice include, but are not limited to:

Slaughterhouse 5
The Old Man and the Sea
Catcher and the Rye
All Quiet on the Western Front
(Possibly) Frankenstein

I am trying to avoid Wuthering Heights and The Great Gatsby because they tend to be very overused.
Of the works listed, could you guys give me some good things to cover on each?

Thank you
