It's the one or two amerifats that throw tantrums about the Ero Fantasy they """""""wrote""""""" (see passionately worldbuild and confuse for actually writing anything) not being considered mandatory lit, that you're arguing with.
They're autistic and should be left filtered.

While I am not a fan of most modern authors myself, but from what I've read of Muir and Kuang, I enjoyed it.
Tangent but on the point of modern authors; Sanderson should be nowhere as revered as he is.

If they can't write sex in a mature enough fashion, I can't imagine many writing serious enough dialogue to lead to the smut. And normally a book has a massive investment (unless it's pure smut) to lead to that particular outcome.
Giving props to Sanderson for avoiding this. Him writing sex would be being told to imagine a fleshlight inserted with a vibe and not a whole lot else.
