Here's what I currently have on my list

Pimp: The Story of My Life by Iceberg Slim

Confessions by Kanae Minato

Stoner by John Williams

I Am a Cat by Natsume Sōseki

The Sorrows of Young Werther by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Confessions of a Mask by Yukio Mishima

The Sailor Who Fell from Grace with the Sea by Yukio Mishima

The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini

A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara

Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes
I mostly enjoy reading sad books with bad endings things like No Longer Human and I enjoy Japanese authors. I did some research and these seem to be interesting. I also enjoy Ryu and Haruki Murakami books but I have most of theirs already. Anything you think I should get? I also enjoy the Stoic philosophy so anything to really do with that is probably up my ally..

When he went into detail describing the mutual love with his financially successful step father(during the depression) and being torn away by his pimp woo'd mother I had to cry. A loving father is something I couldn't bear being torn away from again.

For me, it's the beginning of the second chapter when Iceberg watches a white man give up his woman to the BBC.

It warms my heart to know that sex can bridge can the awful walls that racism puts up between us all.
