If that's how you treat your books, that's ok, but if you're that anal retentive you probably shouldn't be lending out your property. Also you shouldn't hold other people to the same standard. Wear & Tear is a fact of life, I don't treat every trash paperback I own with the same respect that I do my first editions, and half of my books I buy on the cheap from local bookstores or amazon (to read, and to lend to other people to read). If one of my books gets damaged to a point where I'm unhappy with it, I'll duct tape the binding, or buy a new one... or both.

You're whining that somebody creased the motherfucking spine on a paperback book. It was your choice to lend out that book, you can cry to the internet about it, or you can bitch at the person you lent it to; but its your fault. The internet thinks you're an ass, btw.
