Call me crazy but what if a sizeable amount of us made an effort here to raise the standard of discussion, to be generally reasonable and patient, and to be encouraging wherever it would be expected to shit on people?
It's obviously the better thing to do. Not just morally. Absent morality it would still have the benefit of ensuring an infinitely more interesting board.

To be clear, I don't mean sensitivity. I mean something more along the lines of mature and respectable conduct. It would be a better you, yield better discussions, and make a better time for everyone involved. So why not?
Don't appeal to the fact that this is 4chan either. Theat means nothing. I've seen respectful and intelligent discussions happen here now and then. Just have more of it.

>God created time with the creation of the universe, creation happened instantaneously though The Word
>time is perceived by the conscious being through change witch manifests itself in constantly shifting physical universe
>without matter time cannot have existed as matter is the manifestation of time's infinitely changing nature
>what did God do before he created time?
>LMAO idk... like God is outside time ok, stop thinking

wow... deep... He did kind of predict Newton's thermodynamics though.

It looks like a variation of an Aran sweater but I cannot find anything that particularly resembles it in a quick search. I’m going to keep looking myself.

If I may add something, I've recently read St. Augustine's Confessions and even though I'm not really religious it struck such a chord with me that I think I might just make his Confessions my focus when the time comes for me to work on my bachelor's thesis. He's so fascinating! He's at the crossroads of so many of my interests (late antiquity, Rome, Greek philosophy, the passage of time, introspection and soul-searching in literature, the inbetween world of declining paganism and emerging christianity), so beautifully written yet nevertheless philosophically dense, that I certainly feel like there's some interesting work to be done on him.

Who are the must-read theologians? Besides for St Augustine in the pic.
