Okay /lit/, I just, for some reason, remembered this book that I read.

I didn't really remember it though, only extremely vague details and that's why it's frustrating me.

I remember the beginning, the MC is being hunted by the police (i think) or some sort of special military thing. I think it takes place in the future, but it's a poor future (at least the neighborhood he's in) and he goes into a YMCA, and lives there. I remember the description being how the ymca was like closed apartments for poor people. Well eventually he gets found out and gets out of the ymca, either by a secret tunnel or running away. And I believe they proceed to blow up the ymca.

The next thing is that he's on the run, but it's hard because it's sorta futuristic, and he needs to get something to x location. I remember some sort of car jacking somewhere along, but the more I try to think about it, the more I feel I'm mixing up stuff from other stories.

Stephen King was the first author I thought of when I thought about this.

So /lit/, any books like that?
