Is The Ecology of Freedom worth a read?

It's the basis of this, supposedly: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rojava#Democratic_Confederalism

>When it comes to Rojava, Russia is approaching the Kurds with a significant amount of caution as it does not want to open up another military front against Assad. The USA however, is openly hostile towards Rojava. The USA went as far as not allowing entrance to Salih Muslim into the USA for a conference. During the Geneva Conferences, despite Russia's insistence, the USA was adamant in blocking an independent Kurdish delegation from attending the conference. Currently, both the USA and the Turkish government are imposing their policies on Rojava through the agency of the KDP. However, it can't be said that they are being successful.
